I wonder if as his children you could explain to him the fashion tragedy that this is, an explanation now may save you future fatherly embarrassment.

Thank you for your concern in this matter. It would appear to be a problem that we both seem to be concerned about. Please believe us that we have tried very hard to rectify this matter but as you can see we have failed. We are doomed to receive the unwanted attention and embarrassment that our father causes by wearing such clothes and combinations of clothes.

We had such high hopes that your own personal style would rub off on him but it would appear not to have worked either.

Our compliments of the season to you as well and we thank you again for your concern for our wellbeing.

It would appear to be Andrews turn to be "got at". It is a bit of a family joke about his lack of dress sense. He does dressy and grunge really well but sort of gets the casual wrong. Apparently I am not his mother!!!!
